This awesome adventure kicks off in the history-soaked monuments of Hanoi through Halong Bay’s jade waters to the mountainous town of Sapa with its rugged scenery and rich cultural diversity. Enjoy the slow-paced and wander the ancient streets of Hoian which make you never want to leave.
Hanoi Arrival
Welcome upon arrival Hanoi airport, pick up and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Free at the rest of the day. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Hanoi – Halong – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, take a 3.5 hour-drive from Hanoi through the countryside of the Red River Delta to reach Halong. Arrive in Tuan Chau Marina Pier at noon, you will then board a traditional wooden junk to cruise around the bay. Lunch included with available choice of seafood and vegetarian menu. Enjoy great views of tiny islands namely Fighting Cocks (the symbol of Halong Bay), Duck, Swan, Incense Burner and Stone Dogs. Continue to explore Ba Hang Floating village via a 30-minute bamboo boat and Thien Cung Cave (Heaven Palace Grotto). Back to the harbor and return to Hanoi by our transfer vehicle. Dinner on your own and overnight in Hanoi.
Hanoi City Tour – Night Train to Lao Cai (B, L)
Today, you will join a full-day city tour to many famous highlights of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, The Presidential Palace, House on stilt and One Pillar Pagoda), the Temple of Literature, and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology where houses exhibition and preservation of many cultural heritages of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Free until transfer time to Lao Cai by a night train. Dinner is on your own and overnight on train.
Lao Cai – Sapa – Trekking to The Village – Sapa (B, L)
Arrive in Lao Cai in the early morning, you will be then transferred to Sapa town where many minority ethnic groups such as H’mong, Dzao, Tay and Giay inhabit. After breakfast, take a day trip trekking the village. Start by road that descends in the wake of the street Cau May (6 km. En route, admire the rice terraces hidden behind mist of the morning, a truly awe-inspiring sight. Follow small tracks, crossing Muong Hoa River and rice terraces to reach Lao Chai village, home to Black H’mong. Your next destination is the village of Ta Van Giay. Lunch included in a local home in the village. The excursion continues with visit to Giang Ta Chai, a village of Red Dao people. Take a rest at a waterfall nearby before climbing uphill to the pick-up point and back to Sapa. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Sapa.
Sapa – Return to Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, go downhill to Cat Cat village. Upon reaching a waterfall and a hydroelectric station, we will take a short rest before continuing our trek on a trail through rice paddy terraced fields. Arrive in Y Linh Ho village where Black Hmong people mostly inhabit. Take a short rest before climbing toward the main road to the pick-up point. Get on the bus and back to Sapa. Free until our luxury express bus transfers you back to Hanoi. Arrive to Hanoi in late afternoon. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Hanoi – Flight to Danang – Hoian (B)
Today, you will take a morning flight to Danang and then transfer to Hoian ancient town. Stop to visit Cham Museum and handicraft villages at the foot of Marble Mountain on the way. Check in your hotel in Hoian. The rest of the day is free. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hoian.
Hoian Free Day (B)
Free day in Hoian for beach vacation or discover the ancient town. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hoian.
Hoian Departure (B)
Free until transfer to the airport for your departure flight by our driver. Trip ends.
