  Hanoi – Duong Lam Village – Hanoi (L)

  In the morning, drive out of Hanoi to the west to visit Duong Lam Village, the first village regarded as national relic in Vietnam as well as the UNESCO Conservation Heritage in 2013. You will have chance to see many ancient architectures such as the 400-year-old house and temples of Kings Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung, greet locals and listen to their stories. Enjoy great tea and Vietnamese traditional lunch in an ancient house before returning to Hanoi. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

• Day 3

  Hanoi – Mai Chau Sightseeing (L, D)

  Today, you will transfer to Mai Chau, Hoa Binh province which is 135km from Hanoi. The region features a tranquil oasis with rice fields and green mountains as well as home to White Thai group. You will enjoy great views of green Mai Chau valley and stilt houses. A traditional lunch with rice wine is included at a local family. This is followed by a biking trip to discover rustic village and local life. Dinner and overnight in a homestay with local people in Mai Chau.

• Day 4

  Mai Chau – Ninh Binh – Trang An Scenic Landscape – Ninh Binh (B, L)

  In the morning, leave Mai Chau to Ninh Binh, the former capital of Vietnam in 10th century. This is an idyllic tourist destination where many beautiful limestone caves and natural stone sculptures exist. Take time to visit Dinh and Le temples before checking in the hotel and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, join an excursion to Trang An Scenic Landscape with many beautiful sites such as Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave and Nau Ruou. Dinner in on your own. • Day 5

  Ninh Binh – Van Long Natural Reserve – Hanoi (B, L)

  Check out your hotel and transfer to visit Bai Dinh pagoda, a perfect combination of man-made structure and natural beauty. It is the largest pagoda in Vietnam which features a Buddha Prayer place, 500 La Han statues and the biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam. Your next destination is Van Long floating village. Afterwards, there is a biking trip to discover the village before heading back to your hotel in Hanoi. Trip ends.
